Citaĵoj[redakti]

Citaĵo
« Generacio, kiu ignoras historion, havas neniun pasintecon kaj estontecon» « A generation which ignores history has no past — and no future. »
— Robert A. Heinlein, Time Enough for Love (1973)
» « Our ideals, laws and customs should be based on the proposition that each generation, in turn, becomes the custodian rather than the absolute owner of our resources and each generation has the obligation to pass this inheritance on to the future. »
— Charles Lindbergh, New York Times Magazine (23 majo 1971)
» « The Don Quixote of one generation may live to hear himself called the savior of society by the next. »
— James Russell Lowell
Citaĵo
« Bonŝance, ke ĉiu generacio ne komprenas sian propran nescion. Ni tiel rajtas nomi niajn prapatrojn barbaraj»
— Charles Dudley Warner
Citaĵo
« Ĉiu generacio ribeliĝas kontraŭ siaj gepatroj kaj amikiĝas kun siaj geavoj»
— Lewis Mumford
— Fernando Moran
Citaĵo
« La ĉefa celo de edukado en la lernejoj estu krei virojn kaj virinojn, kiuj kapablas fari novajn aferojn, ne simple ripeti tion, kion faris aliaj generacioj; viroj kaj virinoj kiuj estu kreivaj, inventemaj kaj eltrovemaj, kiuj povas esti kritikaj kaj kontroli, kaj ne akcepti, ĉion al ili ofertitaj. »
— Jean Piaget
Citaĵo
« Mi memorigas al junuloj ĉie, kien mi iras, ke unu el la plej malbonaj aferoj, kiujn faris la pli maljuna generacio, estis diri al ili dum dudek kvin jaroj "Estu sukcesa, sukcesu, sukcesu" kontraste al "Estu bonega, estu bonega, estu bonega". Estas kvalita diferenco. » « (angle) I remind young people everywhere I go, one of the worst things the older generation did was to tell them for twenty-five years "Be successful, be successful, be successful" as opposed to "Be great, be great, be great". There's a qualititative difference. »
— Cornel West
» « (angle) The young do not know enough to be prudent, and so they attempt the impossible, and achieve it, generation after generation. »
— Pearl S. Buck
» « (angle) The environment of human life has changed more rapidly and more extensively in recent years than it has ever changed before. When environment changes, there must be a corresponding change in life. That change must be so great that it is not likely to be completed in a decade or in a generation. »
— Charles Lindbergh
» « (angle) It is an old cliché to say that the future is in the hands of the young. This is no longer true. The quality of life to be enjoyed or the existence to be survived by our children and future generations is in our hands now. »
Do vi devas ĉiam esti skeptika - ĉiam mempensu» « (angle) The world progresses, year by year, century by century, as the members of the younger generation find out what was wrong among the things that their elders said. So you must always be skeptical — always think for yourself. »
— Linus Pauling
Kaj la plej bona el niaj individuaj klopodoj povas morti kun ni fine de unu sola vivo» « (angle) The very worst impulses of humankind can survive generations, centuries, even millennia. And the best of our individual efforts can die with us at the end of a single lifetime. »
— Elizabeth Kostova
Citaĵo
« Historio estas la nuntempo. Tial ĉiu generacio skribas ĝin denove. Sed tio, kion plej multaj homoj pensas pri historio, estas ĝia fina rezulto, mito» « (angle) History is the present. That's why every generation writes it anew. But what most people think of as history is its end product, myth. »
— E. L. Doctorow
» « (angle) If I were to be given the opportunity to present a gift to the next generation, it would be the ability for each individual to learn to laugh at himself. »
— Charles M. Schulz
