Frenezo

• La diferenco inter normaluloj kaj frenezuloj estas, ke homoj normalaj estas tiuj, kiuj sukcesas malliberigi la aliajn.

• Se vi decidas involviĝi en Esperanto, tio signifas ke vi ne aŭskultas al la homoj kiuj diras, “Kial ne lerni veran lingvon?” aŭ “Ĉu tio ne estas freneza, utopia, kulta afero?” Do estas elemento de strangeco en tio, sed ankaŭ elemento de fortikeco. Oni povas kontraŭstari la prijuĝon kaj la negativajn reagojn kaj daŭrigi ĉiukaze. Estas io admirinda en tio.
  • If you decide to get into Esperanto, that means you're not listening to all the people who say, "Why not learn a real language?" or "Isn't that the crazy utopian cult thing?" So there's an element of eccentricity in that, but also an element of toughness. You can stand up to the judgment and negative reactions and do it anyway. There's something admirable in that.
